VIOLET MALICE

With razor-sharp wit, poetic flair, and unflinching honesty, Violet Malice delivers performances you won’t forget in a hurry. Drawing inspiration from punk rebellion, club glamour, and deeply personal narratives, Violet’s work blends visceral truth with theatrical finesse. A true wordsmith and magnetic stage presence, she has toured the UK twice this year, supporting The Lovely Eggs, while also commanding festivals, spoken word events, comedy gigs and underground cabaret scenes. Queen of dramatic entrances (she’s arrived on horseback), Violet’s deadpan, unrelenting delivery ensures she leaves them rolling in the aisles wherever she goes. A true original.

RENE EYRE

Radical mixed-media artist, dancer, and esteemed cabaret performer, Rene Eyre is a fearless storyteller with a career that spans decades. One of 'Duckie's Dollies,' her outrageous Brown Owl act has toured cabaret clubs across the UK. Screaming Alley Management is collaborating with Rene on an Arts Council-funded project that traverses her iconic past shows to create a ‘living’ archive—re-claiming, re-editing, and re-presenting her seminal mixed-media performances.

This project asks critical questions about the nature of ephemeral art and how live work, created before documentation became common practice, can find its place in the annals of art history. Now at 70, Rene Eyre returns to the stage to complete her artistic journey, crafting a redemptive new show that dives into the murky waters of her childhood and surfaces with the healing power of forgiveness and understanding.
